Pokémon Leaf Green and Fire Red Just announced for Switch and Switch 2
This morning Nintendo dropped a trailer out of nowhere ahead of Pokémon Day and the 30th Anniversary next Friday on the 27th announcing they will be releasing Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green for the Switch and Switch 2, Notably this is not part of Nintendo Switch Online and is a stand alone purchase of £16.99 in the UK or $19.99 in the US for each version of the game.
The stand alone release is likely due to technical limitations to do with integrating into Pokémon Home the central storage app for Pokémon from all copies of the game on Switch.
