Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond Leave Xbox as Microslop Proliferates into Gaming
Microsoft just announced that Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond the two cheifs of Xbox and Gaming at Microsoft are leaving the company in a big shakeup. Phil Spencer in particular is a big move considering he has been with the company for almost 40 years.
Spencer will be replaced by Asha Sharma who currently head up CoreAI product for Microsoft and Matt Booty is being promoted from within the Gaming division to replace Bond.
Xbox already had a big job on to recover their platform when they are being outsold by what essentially amounts to a toy and in all honestly it doesn't give much hope to me that they will be able to do it putting an AI person in charge.
If I was a betting man I would be willing to bet that the next xbox features an copilot button on the controller given Microsofts current track record.
